Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

CALeVIP$55 million available funding

  • FCCP Window 2 will be open October 7, 2026‒January 14, 2027, with incentives covering up to 100% of eligible installation costs for DC fast chargers, up to $100,000 per charging port.

  • FCCP Window 3 will be open February 24, 2027‒May 27, 2027, with incentive levels capped at $55,000 per port regardless of power level with minimum output of 150kW.

    • Charging hubs, hotels and business districts will no longer be eligible site types.

    • All funded chargers must be ENERGY STAR certified.

    • CEQA exemptions will no longer be allowable for unpaved sites.

    • Applicants must be both the incentive recipient and owner of the charging equipment.

    • Only one CCS connector is required per site.

    • Removal of the rebate category for 275+kW higher power equipment.

    • All eligible equipment will default to the $55,000 per port rebate.

SCE rebates:

  • Small Site Rebate (up to $10,000 per port for 1–4 chargers)  

  • Charging Infrastructure Rebate (Deadline is June 30, 2026)

  1. SCE will design, construct, and install the necessary infrastructure on both the utility-side and customer-side of the electric meter.

  2. Allows customers the option to design, purchase, and install the customer-side of the infrastructure work.

PG&E rebates

  • Fleet program

*Incentives limited to 25 vehicles per site; sites with more vehicles to be considered on an individual basis.

*Charging equipment rebates for school buses, transit buses and sites in disadvantaged communities. Rebate not to exceed 50% of charger equipment. EVSE must meet minimum and standard requirements to be eligible for rebate. Fortune 1000 companies are not eligible.

 - Multifamily Housing and Small Business EV Charger Program

The program will:

· Install Level 1 or Level 2 chargers at multifamily housing, not-for-profit organizations and small businesses at no cost to the property owner for sites located in a priority community.*

· Pay for two years of networking and software fees.

· Provide a site-specific Operations and Maintenance (O&M) plan.

US DOE 30C Tax Credit (federal) - 

Covers 30% of installation costs up to $100,000 per port + bonus credits if the project is prevailing wage and meets apprenticeship requirements.
